Directors
Marie Schmid - is a second generation camp director and has been the Director at Foley since 1985 when her mom passed away. Marie graduated from St. Kate's in St. Paul, MN with a degree in Elementary Education and after teaching for a few years and starting a family, began working full time at Foley. Marie has 4 children that keep her very active! For more info about the Schmid family please see Our History. Growing up as a camp kid, Marie has served as a Program Director, Marina Director and Assistant Director.
Alli Faricy - has been on the Foley staff since 1999 when she started as a summer counselor teaching sailing, windsurfing and waterskiing and has since worked as a Marina Director, CIT Coordinator, Program Director and Assistant Director. A third generation camp director (she is Marie's eldest), Alli has learned the ropes of camp operation through living and working year-round at camp. Alli graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmingon in 2004 with a degree in Marine Biology before moving back to Minnesota and starting work full time at Foley.
 Chris Mathiowetz - Chris has a degree in Public Recreation, Business and Hotel/Food Service Management from South Dakota State University in Brookings. Chris works with the younger boys as well as helping with Riflery, Paintball and Athletics. He heads up our maintenance department and has been working full time since January '09.
Year-Round Assistant Directors
Ricky Searson – joined our team in 2011. He has a degree in Marketing Management from the University of Derby, England. Ricky has worked in the camping industry for the past five years in Rhode Island, and now works with the middle-age group of boys (coyotes) as well as helping with Climbing and Guitar class. He heads up our marketing department and has been working full time since April ’11.
 Adam Ashley – Adam is from Omaha, Nebraska and studied Music Education from the University of Northern Iowa. Adam has worked previously with Ford Motor Company, and as a Sales Manager for 24 Hour Fitness. Adam started full time in January of 2012, works with the older boys, and will be working in the swim dock and marina areas. His activities include water sports, winter sports, motorcycle competitions, and fitness.
Carrie Stageman – Carrie is from Council Bluffs, Iowa and studied Secondary Education at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Carriestarted full time in January of 2012. She was a counselor and trip leader at Camp Foley in 2008. Carrie has been working as an Instructor for Outward Bound USA and returned to Camp Foley to head up the Tripping program. Mary Stevens - has been the Administrative Assistant at Foley since the summer of 2000! Mary is the one to call if you have any questions about paperwork, billing, or any other question really. Mary has two kids (Kyle and Hanna) and has lived in the local area since 1994. Prior to that she lived in the Twin Cities area. Without her, the office would be a mess!
