What's the best thing of all at Camp Foley?

This is a very common question with an uncommon answer. When we ask our campers this question, the answer ranges anywhere from the counselors to camper friendships to awesome activities. The answer depends on you. What do you like to do best? Perhaps you have an excellent eye at the rifle range. Perhaps you are good at creating and choose to build a pine car for the derby races. Perhaps you just enjoy hanging out with your cabin mates. Whatever it is, we are sure it will put a smile on your face and create a lasting memory.

At Foley, what will I do all day?

Of course your day will be filled with a lot of fun and games, but there is so much more! Activities like those listed above could all be a part of your daily schedule! There are also specially planned programs in the evening such as playing capture-the-flag with your entire age group or having a popcorn party with your cabin group. Other special theme events and activities will fill your days and keep you busy!

Do I get to choose what I want to do at Camp Foley?

The answer is simple...Yes! You are able to create your own schedules. Depending on your age, you are able to choose five or six activities for a three-day schedule. At the end of the three-day schedule, you can choose all new activities or keep the same activities to improve your skill.

Who will help me have fun at Foley?

Our counselors are awesome! Age 18 or older, they come from around the world. They have been chosen especially to work at Foley because of a special quality they have - they enjoy working with kids. Many of our counselors are past campers who understand the campers' needs. We train our counselors for 11 days before our first campers arrive. During this training time, the counselors not only play games and sing songs; they also work hard at getting ready for you. They want to help you experience new things and to have the best time ever!

What if I come without a friend?

At the end of every summer session, our campers are always commenting on the strong friendships that have been created during their stay. Some campers do come to camp with friends from home, but most new campers come without knowing anyone. This does not last long however. Upon your arrival to camp, you will meet your counselor, cabin mates, and other campers. You are able to meet kids from all over the world who may have similar interests as you. Kids come to camp to have fun and make friends. By being a friend, you can make friends at Foley.

Where will I stay while I am at Foley?

All of our campers and counselors live in cabins. There are two counselors and eight to twelve campers of similar age assigned to each cabin. You will have your own bunk, locker, and shelving space. Bathrooms and showers are a short walk from your cabin. Click here for more information on cabins.

Is the food any good?

Campers are always surprised after their first meal at camp - they like the food! After watching movies about camp, people assume that all camp food is awful - we have proven this false. Since this is considered our ‘home', why would we want to eat horrible food all summer? Typical breakfast meals range from pancakes to scrambled eggs to waffles. Lunches include soups, various sandwiches, and good energizing food to get us through the day. Our dinners range from tacos to turkey and mashed potatoes to the all-time camp favorite, homemade pizza! There is always a salad bar option for dinner and a vegetarian option for all meals.
