Here are some of the highlights from last summer's leadership program.

Big Camp Events:

1st Session: The LIT1's and 2's worked together to plan a slushie themed day to determine which flavor was the very best! Teams had to do scavenger hunt activities on the lakeside of camp in order to collect all of the ingredients (sugar, flavor, ice, etc) to make a delicious smoothie. They then made their way to the soccer field for an intense four-way field game in which they attempted to steal all of one another's ingredients!

2nd Session: The LIT1's let their creativity flow with a Hollywood movie themed event, complete with horror movies, comedies, and even some adventure flicks. The favorite event of the day was a Pirates of the Caribbean finger fencing duel... on the water mat! Teams were challenged to create theme songs and movie posters for the event.

Meanwhile, the LIT2's were busy planning an all-camp late night event in honor of the Fourth of July. They called in some classic Foley favorites like pie-eating contests and competitions to see which cabin group could wear the most red, white, and blue articles of clothing. The next morning, they had help from the LIT3's in a traditional flag raising ceremony!

4th Session: The LIT2's got to work on a farm themed event for all of the cabins in their late night adventure. Boys were pitted against girls in cabin groups for various activities across Foley green, and a good time was had by all! The LIT1's, meanwhile, had a fantastically original event of their own, centered around the lyrics of their favorite camp songs. Herman the Worm, The Second Story Window, and Wisconsin Milk could be heard all throughout camp as the teams competed to determine which was the best entry in the Foley Song Book!

CIT campfires:

With a small planning team of just three, the first and second session CIT's brought their Batman-themed campfire to life. Dressed as Batman, Robin, and the terrible Two-Faced, they found themselves on a journey to recover the lost Batmobile. "Sweet unbuttered banana bread!" was the famous line of Robin when peace was finally restored to Lower Mosquito.

The third and fourth session CIT's did a fantastic job with their Aladdin themed campfire, resurrecting old camp stunts (the peanut-butter deodorant skit is always a favorite) and featuring the emergence of a magic Genie from underground! The crowd loved the antics of Aladdin, Abu, Jafar, Iago, the Genie, the Sultan, Jasmine, and of course her sister, The Princess Pat.
