Marie Schmid - is a second generation camp director and has been the Director at Foley since 1985 when her mom passed away. Marie graduated from St. Kate's in St. Paul, MN with a degree in Elementary Education and after teaching for a few years and starting a family, began working full time at Foley. Marie has 4 children that keep her very active! For more info about the Schmid family please see Our History. Growing up as a camp kid, Marie has served as a Program Director, Marina Director and Assistant Director.
Alli Faricy - has been on the Foley staff since 1999 when she started as a summer counselor teaching sailing, windsurfing and waterskiing and has since worked as a Marina Director, CIT Coordinator, Program Director and Assistant Director. A third generation camp director (she is Marie's eldest), Alli has learned the ropes of camp operation through living and working year-round at camp. Alli graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmingon in 2004 with a degree in Marine Biology before moving back to Minnesota and starting work full time at Foley.
Year-Round Assistant Directors
Jenny Delaney - will be heading up the swimdock as well as working with some of the programming (campfires, special events, etc) around camp. This will be Jenny's fifth summer at Foley and she graduated from the University of Minnesota last spring with a degree in Child Psychology and Youth Studies. She has been working full time since January of '09 and will be staying on until January 11!
Chris Mathiowetz - is back for his third summer. Chris has a degree in Public Recreation, Business and Hotel/Food Service Management from South Dakota State University in Brookings. Chris will be working with the younger boys as well as helping with Riflery, Paintball and Athletics. He heads up our maintenance department and has been working full time since January '09. Chris will also be staying with us for another full year!
Summer Assistant Directors
Kate Mogard - will be back for her 10th summer at Foley! Kate has worked as a cabin counselor, Seasonal Assistant Director and even spent one year as a Year-Round Assistant Director. Currently she lives in Brookings, SD where she is working as a Kindergarten teacher. Kate graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with an Elementary Education degree. Kate will be overseeing the Fox and Coyote girls as well as crafts, art, dance and drama.

Mike lives in Brookings, SD where he is currently working as a 3rd grade teacher. Mike graduated from Dakota State University with an Elementary Education Degree. Mike will be working with the Fox and Coyote boys this summer as well as overseeing Archery, Climbing, Fencing and some of the other land activities.
