Food Service/Activity Assistant or Instructor

There is one activity that is done three times a day, rain or shine...Eating! Food service is one of the most important job positions that we have at Foley. This position is designed for people who want to be as strong cabin counselor and want to work hard helping with all aspects of food service – preparing and serving food and all of the clean up involved in food service.

Unique to this position is that we will provide training for you to assist in activities if necessary. Each day is broken in to 3 kitchen shifts. On a normal basis, you will work one of these shifts and teach or assist at activities or be with your campers in the cabin, at evening activities or at all camp programs during the other shifts.

Your kitchen work includes: helping with food preparation (under the direction of the head cook), serving, and clean-up (dishes, sweeping, mopping). Six counselors are hired for this position.

When you are not in the kitchen, you would be assigned to teach or assist at one of the 30+ activities that we have at camp, depending on your personal experience and skills.

Janitorial/Activity Assistant or Instructor

This position is designed for people who are willing to work behind the scenes to provide clean facilities for the camp community and want to be a strong cabin counselor. Unique to this position is that we will provide training for you to assist in activities if necessary.

2 males and 2 females are hired for this position. Each session (2 weeks), 1 female and 1 male are responsible for cleaning their respective bathroom facilities. The other two will be assisting in the cleaning of our dining room and kitchen. After 2 weeks, you switch.

Generally your cleaning responsibilities would take 2 to 3 hours in the afternoon, leaving the rest of the afternoon and morning each day to teach or assist at one of the 30+ activities that we have at camp, depending on your personal experience and skills.
