Crafts

Crafty counselors help guide campers in the completion of quality projects in Crafts. Projects vary from summer to summer and are different each activity sign up. Past projects include: Screen Printing, Sculpty Beads, Candle Making, Plaster Masks, Tie Dye, Bobble Heads, Floss & Beaded Jewelry, Key Chains, Lanyards, Tile Work, Duct Tape, Knitting, Needlepoint, Baskets, Scrap Books, Wind Catchers and so much more.

Drama

Campers can sign up for Drama to participate in quick skits, charades and lessons in impromptu. Campers have the opportunity to think on their feet and portray different personas. Campers can also sign up for Drama to participate in the Drama Production at the end of the session. Campers help develop the script, assign roles and perform in front of the entire camp.

Media Classes

Journalism

Campers can use their journalistic abilities and write or take pictures for the Foley Times - the camper-created newspaper. Campers learn the basics of journalism from experienced counselors that can help with story ideas, layout and production!

Video Creativity

Campers that have the desire to act in, write, direct or shoot movies can sign up for a Video Creativity class. Knowledgeable counselors help brainstorm, storyboard, film and edit while teaching campers the basics to video production.

Music

Drums & Guitar

Campers learn from a musically experienced counselor to play hand drums and guitar. Campers can learn to play a basic beat or to strum an entire song. If they choose to, campers can show off their skills at Final Banquet.

Song Writing

Campers that want to express themselves musically, without instruments, can sign up for a song writing class. Counselors help campers write lyrics, think creatively and turn their words into a song.

Woodworking Shop

At Shop, campers use hand saws, sand paper and maybe some power tools to create something out of nothing. Campers start with a piece of wood and turn it into whatever they can think up. Past Shop projects include: Treasure Boxes, Miniature Totem Poles, Puzzles, Sailboats and Pinewood Derby Cars
